FLAT RATE BEST RATE!

Nova Sharks I have some great news for you!  I am proud to be a “shark” and I am excited Nova is considering changing the tuition structure. We all know right now tuition is currently charged by the credit per hour. The Board of Trustees is now considering charging a flat rate fee for tuition, based on the general cost of a full-time (12 credits) enrollment.

Personally, I am looking forward to this change. Especially being a transfer student, this could significantly cut my time left to finish my degree. The flat rate would allow us to take as many credits as possible without worrying about paying more. Can you imagine, we will have more room for improvement and possibly finish our degrees sooner.

At the current rate, we are being charged  up to $225 per credit depending on the course we have chosen. That means 12 credits may come up to a total of $2,700. It would be very expensive to even attempt to take more than the required credits per term. So I think we can all agree it will be a great transition to a flat fee, to make it more affordable for us students wanting to take more courses each semester to graduate sooner. The only repercussion may be for the students who want to take the minimum and may find it unfair that they will have to pay more than they initially did; however, I think those not in favor of the flat rate will be minimal.

I don’t know which student would not want to take advantage of this opportunity. I urge you, my fellow school mates, to go and vote for this positive step towards financial and academic freedom. Vote for the change to  “Flat Rate”. See link attached.http://Contact information is on the school’s website at http://www.nova.edu/undergraduate/university-tuition-and-fees.html.
