The CW Renews 10 Shows, Including ‘Riverdale,’ ‘Arrow,’ ‘The Flash’ and More

It’s going to be Super all 2019 through 2020 on the CW network.
You can rest assured, all your favorite superhero shows will be returning for another season announced Thursday by Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, at the Television Critics Association press tour. Superheros such as Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl will be returning for consecutive seasons.

According to ET News the entire crop of DC superhero shows, led by Arrow (season eight), as well as The Flash (season six), Supergirl (season five), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season five) and Black Lightning (season three), will all return for new runs. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as next year’s annual DC crossover event was teased in December.

Charmed and Legacies will each return for sophomore seasons, while Riverdale will be back for its fourth season and Dynasty for its third run. Meanwhile, Supernatural — The CW’s longest-running show — will be back for its 15th season. It is unclear whether this will be its final season.

“This season, we expanded our primetime schedule to six nights with the addition of Sunday — which has been an unqualified success for the network, our affiliates and our advertisers. In addition to growing our schedule across the week, we also continue to add more year-round programming. The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season, and this is just the beginning,” Pedowitz said in a statement. “These shows provide a strong foundation for our multiplatform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront.”

Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood To Be The First Restaurant To Open In Expanded Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Complex

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Hard Rock International today announced that it will relocate Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, currently inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, to the new restaurant and retail area of the property’s expanded Hollywood complex. Captain Marvel Official Trailer Released!

Finally, the time has come for us to see a glimpse into the upcoming Captain Marvel movie set for 2019. Marvel Studios has yet again created some hype, and enthusiasm for fans building up to the premiere of the movie. Look out for this epic movie in theatres March 8, 2019.

The trailer does not disappoint and focuses on “Heros Origin.” Captain marvel’s memory seems hazy and the movie throws you back into the past where Captain Marvel crashes into a Blockbuster.

This movie stands to be action-packed as Fury, Samuel L. Jackson, mentions a space invasion and big car chase and I get the feeling this story does not begin on earth. Space travel is involved for sure.

If you keep up with the ‘Agents of Shield’ series you know what’s coming and the ties to Kree (bluish-green aliens) Phil Coulson, and earth’s alien invasion. If you haven’t watched the series I recommend you watch season five before you watch the movie, because it ties into this story. The Trailer gives a glimpse of a young Phil Coulson, Clark Gregg, (warms my heart) so you know he is in his prime and ready to fight.

Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) Kick Off November 2018

The Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, FLIFF, is set for November. The opening film party will take place on Friday, Nov. 2 at the recently renovated Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Then, the Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort will feature a screening of Where the Boys Are.

Saturday, Nov. 17 will be an interesting day at Bailey Hall. In honor of the 20th anniversary of Pleasantville, starring Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon, and Don Knotts in his final film, the afternoon screening of the film will feature a tribute to writer/director Gary Ross, who also directed Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games and Ocean’s 8.

The festivities end with a wrap party on Nov. 18, featuring a fairway screening of Caddyshack at the Ft. Lauderdale Country Club.

Iggy Azalea ‘Bad Girls Tour’ This Fall

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is coming to a stage near you with her “Bad Girls Tour” this fall.

Azalea has announced her first North American headlining tour in four years with special guests CupcakKe and Megan Thee Stallion. The tour kicks off Oct. 27  at the Seminole Hard Rock Event Center in Hollywood, Fla. and will stop in cities across the U.S. and Canada including Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles, wrapping Dec. 4 in Houston.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to TIDAL and Citi members beginning Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour comes in support of Iggy’s recent EP Survive the Summer, which spawned the Tyga-assisted single “Kream.”

Breaking News 🚨 Mac Miller died on Friday of a suspected overdose at age 26.

It has been reported as an apparent overdose that caused his death.

Movie Star Burt Reynolds dies at 82

Burt Reynolds who is well known for his starring role in “Smoky and the Bandit” and “Boogie nights”, among other movies, died Thursday, at age 82. This news coming from his agent, Todd Eisner that Reynolds suffered from a cardiac arrest. Reynolds was also an iconic sex symbol, a director and a philanthropist. He founded the Burt Reynolds Institue for Film & Theatre in Florida, his home state. Well done Reynolds, now rest in peace.

Mel B Is Going To Rehab for PTSD

As  long time fan of this spice girl and America’s Got Talent, AGT, I extent empathy to Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B,  for her current situation of experiencing PTSD. I applaud her decision to seek professional help and hope she will come out on top with more resilience, after all, she is scary spice. We will miss you while you’re gone and await your fierce comeback.

Mel B getting ‘proper therapy’ for alcohol and sex addiction.

Mel B revealed that she’s decided to check herself into a facility next month to help her cope with alcohol and sex addiction.

“I have made the decision to go into a proper therapy [program] in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me,” she told The Sun in a statement on Sunday.

She also explained how she arrived at such a difficult decision following her divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me,” she told the publication. “I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.

“Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel,” she added. “But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol– it is underneath all that. I am fully aware I have been at a crisis point. No one knows myself better than I do — but I am dealing with it.”

She later shared why she is deciding to speak out.

“I am still struggling but if I can shine a light on the issue of pain, PTSD and the things men and women do to mask it, I will do,” she said. “I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.”

These details arrived at almost the exact same time that Mel B shared a link to a website detailing an overview of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). “Knowledge is power,” she wrote alongside the link.
